QuinStar Technology Inc. Acquires A-Alpha Waveguide, Inc.
QuinStar Technology, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has finalized an Asset Purchase Agreement with A-Alpha Waveguide, Inc., a leader in the manufacture of cold drawn tubing effective January 1, 2023. A-Alpha Waveguide, Inc. is a leader in market for high quality, close tolerance, drawn waveguide tubing since 1979. Its portfolio of accounts and operations will now be merged into QuinStar Technology.
Operation Teddy Bear with QuinStar and The Volunteer Center, Torrance
Every year, The Volunteer Center, in Torrance, runs a program called “Operation Teddy Bear.” This literacy program provides school bags filled with educational materials to thousands of first graders in underprivileged schools around the South Bay Area.
Alphasat TDP5 and QuinStar Q-band Solid-state Power Amplifiers Reach a New Milestone!
QuinStar Technology designed, manufactured, and tested a set of four Q-band (33-50 GHz) Solid-State Power Amplifiers (SSPA) during 2008-2011 as transmitters and beacons for Alphasat Technology Demonstration Payload # 5 (TDP5), named The Aldo Paraboni Q/V Communications and Propagation Experiment.

QuinStar Establishes MMIC Test Lab
QuinStar Technology Inc.’s engineering team establishes the MMIC Test Lab for wafer testing and RF module evaluation in a class 10k cleanroom at QuinStar’s headquarter in Torrance, California. With the purpose of R&D and pilot production, this lab provides all the services required to meet the most stringent quality requirements of MMIC testing and device/component characterization in microwave-millimeter wave frequencies, with the support of resources available in-house.
