QuinStar Develops SSPA of Unprecedented Efficiency

QuinStar engineered a solid-state power amplifier that loses 8% of its amplified energy when its signals recombine—most comparable devices lose 20%. QuinStar developed the technology as a subcontractor under an SBIR contract from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The SSPA is well suited for radar, satellite communication, and defense systems because it requires lower voltage and is light, compact, and reliable. See full article here or visit NASA Spinoff.
