Description

QuinStar’s QWH Premium Standard Gain Horns cover the frequency range of 18 – 220 GHz in 10 waveguide bands. They are available with either a rectangular aperture (pyramidal shape) to connect to a rectangular waveguide or a circular aperture (conical shape) to connect to either rectangular or circular waveguide. The pyramidal horns have a nominal mid-band gain of 24dB, while 21dB is typical for the conical horns. These horns are electroformed for precision and gold plated for use in virtually any environment. The precise fabrication controls the aperture size and flare angle.

Applications

Premium Standard Gain Horns are useful for a wide variety of  applications, including antenna testing, RF radiation pattern measurement, and in subsystems. These horns are useful as calibration standard or reference for antenna gain measurements. Conical horns can radiate or receive either linearly or circularly polarized waves. Both shapes are useful as feed horns for lens and reflector antennas.
